Starcke Abrasives UK Limited is committed to ensuring that our operations, supply chains and the way we do business are ethical. We work with our customers and suppliers to ensure that we uphold our ethical standards. We take a zero-tolerance approach to breaches of our standards and procedures on Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking and will always take action to investigate and report any suspected incidences of modern slavery.

As part of this commitment and in line with our regulatory obligations we publish this annual statement outlining our policies, procedures and training that we have in place to both prevent incidences of modern slavery and human trafficking occurring in our business and supply chains, investigating suspected incidences and how we address confirmed incidences.

About Starcke Abrasives UK Limited:

Starcke Abrasives UK Limited is a small stockist and supplier of abrasive materials, predominantly for the car repair, metal, painters and woodflooring marketplaces. We are a wholey owned subsidiary of Starcke GmbH, based in Melle, Germany. We operate from one warehouse in Cardiff, South Wales.

Our supply chain:

The majority of our goods for resale are purchased from Starcke GmbH. It also includes not for resale goods (such as paper, packaging, stationary and marketing materials), ICT equipment and services, professional services such as auditing and accounting, and business services such as cleaning. We also work with agencies for the recruitment of permanent and temporary staff.

Starcke Abrasives endeavours to eliminate all forced labour, child labour, and human trafficking by auditing each supplier. This audit ensures that each supplier shall ensure appropriate working conditions for all employees, that no forced labour, child labour, or human trafficking takes place anywhere in its supply chains.

This statement is made pursuant to section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and constitutes the Starcke Abrasives modern slavery and human trafficking statement for the fiscal year ended March 31, 2020.
